Have you ever wanted to use Google to search within a particular website before?
Actually, Google makes this pretty simple thanks to its special site: syntax that basically forces Google to restrict its search results to the specified site.
Generally you will specify your search term with the site: identifier first (you can leave the ‘http://’ part out of the site specification) and then follow it with a space and then your usual search terms.
So for example, to search on the codeunit.co.za site for Merkaba, you would enter:
site:codeunit.co.za Merkaba
Similarly, you can widen the search to all sites on the codeunit.co.za domain by inputting:
site:codeunit.co.za Merkaba
And lastly, the same can be done for a particular domain, so for instance to search amongst the .co.za domains for Merkaba:
site:co.za Merkaba
